At the Polap colour mixing laboratory, Pantone® inks are precisely formulated according to the Pantone Matching System (PMS) using advanced colour measurement and quality control.
This guarantees accurate tone matching and repeatable results across different substrates, print technologies, and production runs.

All products comply with European quality and environmental safety standards, while many series — particularly those from Siegwerk and Arcolor — are certified for food packaging applications (Food Packaging Grade, Low Migration).
The manufacturers operate in accordance with EuPIA, REACH, GMP, and ISO 2846/12647 requirements, ensuring product safety, durability, and responsible production practices.

Offset UV CMYK Inks

Sicura (Siegwerk) – a professional-grade UV and LED-UV ink system designed for non-absorbent substrates such as plastic, synthetic paper, metallized or laminated board.
The inks offer fast polymerization, excellent mechanical resistance, and a high-gloss finish.

Offset CMYK Inks

Tempo Elite (Siegwerk) – high-performance sheet-fed offset inks based on vegetable oils, offering fast drying, high gloss, and excellent press stability.
Certified in accordance with ISO 2846-1 and ISO 12647-2, suitable for both commercial and packaging printing.
Features include superior rub and scratch resistance, stable ink–water balance, and compatibility with coatings and lamination.

Offset Pantone® Inks

Tempo Colour 2 (Siegwerk) – a Pantone® and special colour system based on vegetable oils, formulated for smooth, matt, or uncoated paper and board.
Provides high colour strength, gloss, and excellent overprintability; also available in Fast Base versions with enhanced light and solvent resistance.

Pantone® Colour Mixing at the Polap Laboratory

The Polap laboratory provides a precise Pantone® colour mixing service on-site in Riga, using official Siegwerk formulations for ink blending.
Each tone is individually verified to ensure perfect colour accuracy and repeatability for future production orders.

Mixing process:

1️⃣ The client specifies the Pantone® code from the Coated or Uncoated guide.
2️⃣ Ink proportions are calculated using the Siegwerk formulation system.
3️⃣ The tone is mixed using a dosing and measuring system for exact ingredient ratios.
4️⃣ The final ink is filled, labelled, and delivered within 24 hours.

Result: precise Pantone® tone, consistent quality, and fast delivery for professional print production.
